How to Achieve Interoperable Communications in Illinois
The workshop will highlight best practices and resources available to improve interoperable communications from everyday use to critical incidents. Topics include: The new Statewide Interoperability Template (SWIT), hands-on radio training, alerts and warning, and communications resources available to public safety organizations in Illinois. Workshop is open to police, fire, EMS, EMA, public safety telecommunicators, healthcare emergency preparedness, & individuals completing their IEMA-OHS Professional Development Series Certificate. Attendees, please bring an agency handheld radio for the hands-on portion. If you do not have an issued radio, there will be a limited number of hand-held radios available for use by attendees.
