How to Achieve Interoperable Communications in Illinois

The workshop will highlight best practices and resources available to improve

interoperable communications from everyday use to critical incidents. Topics include

the new Statewide Interoperability Template (SWIT), hands-on radio training, alerts

and warning, and communications resources available to public safety organizations

in Illinois. Workshop is open to law enforcement, fire, EMS, EMA, public safety

telecommunicators, and individuals completing their IEMA-OHS Professional

Development Series Certificate. Attendees, please bring an agency hand-held radio

for the hands-on portion. If you do not have an issued radio, there will be a limited

number of hand-held radios available for use by attendees.
