RTF 150 Illinois Plan for Radiological Accidents Overview (IEMA Only)

Students will learn a brief history of federal and state Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Programs. Students will also be able to identify the six operating nuclear power station in Illinois and their related emergency planning zones (EPZs). This course will provide a basic understanding of the Illinois Plan for Radiological Accidents (IPRA), and provide key roles, behaviors, actions and expectations of Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) personnel during evaluated exercises and real-world event response. Note: formerly IPRA 100.
